Video Production
Video is here to stay. Google (owner of YouTube) tells us that your content is 65% more likely to appear in a top ten search list if it has a video on the same page. Social media videos, shot on iPhones and the like, are great – but only for social media. To present your product or company professionally, in a presentation or on your website, you cannot do it yourself. Why? Because it shows in the production. Think of the difference between a professionally shot photograph and a snap from an amateur. People can tell the difference and judge you accordingly.
The technology has changed a lot in recent years and that has brought the price down considerably but, production values and accurate delivery of key messages haven’t changed.
To be effective a video has to be memorable.
Our videos start at £500. Here’s one made for a marketing agency at that price:

Promotional USB keys
USB keys can be very effective promotional devices. They are ideal as a ‘leave items’ after a sales pitch or as a give-away in a conference pack. As well as any extra video content you can add data files, pdfs, photos even an entire off-line website. And don’t forget, most larger companies (and all government departments) are prevented from accessing sites like YouTube. Some are even prevented from downloading anything except text files so this is where USB has a role.
Training videos
Yes training videos are still being made – many by well meaning amateurs in the form of YouTube tutorials. However, for a business speaking to customers, this is not good enough.
A training video is also a promotional video for your business and should carry the same professional values as your website, brochure and any other communication you make with people who can influence your profit.
Tell us your training problem/idea and we’ll work out a way of achieving it using video – without breaking the bank.
Tablets, phablets and phones.
Personal devices such as phones and tablets are getting more and more sophisticated. Mori Polls tell us that more than 70% of on-line video content is ‘consumed’ on mobile devices and Linkedin is becoming the go to place for B2B connections.
The big impact on you is that your video must be short. No longer than it takes to wait for the next bus or train.
If your message is long and complex, first of all decide whether or not video is the ideal medium for it – if it is – maybe use a short trailer to point viewers at the long form version for when they have the time and inclination to view it. E.G. a change of company policy can be highlighted with a 30 second video ‘pushed’ to all concerned telling them where to find the full 10 minute version.
