Using video to Sell Goods and Services
Everyone is an expert in good television. Viewing figures alone confirm that. Therefore to present an audience, whatever their age, with anything less than broadcast production values is to court indifference. The only exception is on social media where home-made video clips are the norm.
Our background is in broadcasting, with companies such as Talkback Thames, LWT, ITN and several overseas broadcasters. We understand how a message is delivered on video. There are few “correct” ways and many, many wrong ways.
The wrong approach can easily change a potential “wow” factor to a “so what” factor.
Styles and designs change each year and what looked up-to-date and trendy in 2018 can look dated and stale today.
However, before any “look” is decided, the key messages have to be clearly and accurately defined.
Ask yourself
- What effect do you want the video presentation to have on your target audience 6 months after watching it?
- What do you want them to think immediately after watching it?
- What key message must be put across even if all others are lost?
- What lasting image do you want to leave in the mind of the audience?
