Rather than show you a mugshot of me, I thought I’d show you the video I am most proud of.  It is the only known footage of a Sokoke Scops Owl in the wild.  Shot by me during a gap in filming a promotional video for a hotel group in Kenya.   After a two day hike (with a guide and an owl expert) through the Arabuko-Sokoke Forest we finally found one.    This tiny owl was one of only 30 known pairs in a forest the size of Wales. 

Enough of owls.  Here’s some background information on me:

I’ve been producing videos for the public and private sector since leaving the world of broadcast television in 2010.  Particular areas of expertise are marketing and sales promotion, social media video and training.

As well as running  Meantime Media, I coach people in the skills required to perform well in media interviews, make convincing business presentations and in the art of effective public speaking.

I’ve produced  countless commercial and broadcast programmes for companies such as John Lewis, Virgin, Whitbread, Lucas Aerospace, Vauxhall, Mencap, Hewlett Packard, BBC, Ch4, STV, Granada, etc. as well as many small,  and sometimes very small, companies.

I was Programme Presentation Director for ITV Studios , responsible for on-air promotions, presentation control and live transmission.  In short, the look and feel of the station.

Working for ITN  as a news cameraman  I covered anything and everything that came up around the UK and the world.

I spent a year  editing incoming national and local broadcast news for Channel Nine in Willoughby New South Wales so putting the message across under tight deadlines is second nature to me.

As on-air promotions director for Channel 4 in London, I wrote and produced  promotions and trailers for broadcast  output.  For you this means effective copy that influences decision makers.

I started life as a video editor for Thames TV, LWT, Granada and BFBS  working  on documentary, drama, and current affairs.
